Main introduction of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene polymer (ABS)

1. ABS is a non-crystalline plastic, and its main properties are as follows:

1. ABS raw material is light yellow and opaque, and the surface of the product has good gloss.

2. Not resistant to organic solvents, such as soluble in ketones, aldehydes, esters and chlorinated hydrocarbons to form emulsions (ABS mucilage)

3. Due to the role of butadiene in the composition, the impact strength of ABS is also significantly higher than that of GPPS.

4. ABS has good electroplating performance, and it is also the best electroplating performance among all plastics.

5. ABS molding shrinkage rate is relatively small about 0.4%-0.9% (usually 0.5%) commonly used inner mold material 718.738

6. Material blending performance (ABS+PVC)-----improve toughness, flame resistance and aging resistance (ABS+PC)-----improve impact strength and heat resistance.

7. ABS and #372 organic glass (polystyrene modified organic glass) have good weldability and can be used as two-color molding plastic parts.

8. The role of the three components of ABS Acrylonitrile (A)-make the surface of the product higher hardness butadiene (B)-strengthen the flexibility, maintain the material with high impact strength styrene (S)-maintain good moldability ( fluidity)

9. Uses: daily necessities, furniture, sporting goods, cabinets, toys, handles, gears. Used in the machinery industry system to make the driving wheel, gears, pump impellers, bearings, motor casings, meter casings, battery tanks, and water tanks. Shell. Handle, used in the automobile industry to make driving discs. Hot air conditioning.

2. ABS molding process:

1. ABS internal stress inspection shall be based on the product being immersed in kerosene for 2 minutes without cracks.

2. The mold temperature should be higher for products with higher requirements on appearance and mold temperature of 40-80°C.

3. The injection speed is medium and low. The injection pressure is selected according to the shape of the part, the thickness of the wall, and the grade of the rubber material.

4. When the ejection force is too large or mechanical processing, the surface of the plastic part will show "white" traces (but it will disappear when heated in hot water)

5. ABS has good fluidity and is easy to produce beer-plastic drape, with an overflow value of 0.04mm. Plastic beer pressure (70-180Mpa), not too big.

6. It needs to be fully dried before forming and processing so that the moisture content is less than 0.1%. Drying conditions: temperature 85℃, drying time: 3HRS or more.

7. Various types of inlets can be used, the size of the flow channel is 0.16.0-0.18.0mm. The size of the exhaust slot is 0.025-0.05mmX4.0-6.0mm. The gate size is 0.5tX2.0t.

8. The temperature of the barrel should not exceed 250°C. Temperature parameters: The temperature of the front barrel is 180-210°C, the temperature of the middle barrel is 170-190°C, and the temperature of the rear barrel is 150-180°C. Excessive high temperature will cause the rubber component to decompose and reduce the fluidity.
